We wish to acknowledge that the land upon which our educational home, our school, is situated is the traditional territory of the Wendat, the Anishinabek, the Haudenosaunee, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Métis Nation.
We also recognize the Indigenous practices that have fostered our understanding of the ecosystem as one, weaving together forest, plains, mountains, ocean, desert and tundra.
It is this one ecosystem that we call planet Earth, and it is our responsibility to heal that which we have damaged, to support the regeneration of that which we thought had been lost, and to learn the lessons and welcome the wisdom of those who have come before us. We walk a trail already mapped for us by many previous walkers of this land; we are not the first, and we will not be the last.
It is therefore our sincere promise to the Seventh Generation that we will hand over to you a world where animals, plants and landscapes live in balance and harmony.
