Admissions

Welcome To Our Community

As the pioneer of French immersion in Canada, TFS provides a bilingual education that is unparalleled. We want our students to exude academic ambition, benefit from an all-round development as individuals and citizens, and view the world from an international perspective. Bilingual and coed since 1962, TFS teaches the curricula of France and Ontario through the framework established by the IB programs, offering an experience that is rich in challenge, diversity and opportunity.

The Best of Both: French & English Education

TFS students master French and English, while balancing rigorous arts, science and humanities programs. Any student can join TFS with no prior knowledge of French up to and including Grade 7 (subject to availability), thanks to our unique Introductory French program. Co-curriculars include competitive and recreational sports, the arts, Model UN and robotics. Students benefit from exceptional facilities and a diverse, non-denominational environment. We have two campuses: Toronto (age 2 to Grade 12) and our West Campus in Mississauga (PK to Grade 7).

Our Graduates

It's not surprising, then, that our motto is “Individuals who reflect, citizens who act.” It's also why citizenship is part of everything we believe and do as a school community, including parents, students and staff. Our four values — integrity, discernment, respect and engagement — promote citizenship.

What does it take to be a great candidate for TFS? We look for students who:

  • demonstrate high average to excellent academic performance;
  • value a bilingual education;
  • are internationally-minded;
  • are motivated, positive and demonstrate a growth mindset;
  • act in a way that is respectful of self and others;
  • are committed to and/or engaged in activities that show a commitment to all-round development (the arts, athletics, service and leadership);
  • would enrich and contribute to the TFS community;
  • and believe, and whose family believes, in TFS’ vision, mission and values. These guide everything we do at TFS.

Our Mission

The TFS community develops multilingual critical thinkers who celebrate difference, transcend borders and strive for the betterment of humankind.
